100 Whey Protein Gold Standard is one of the best Whey Proteins on the market in my opinion. The name is actually “Optimum 100% Whey Protein” and this Whey Protein has won the Supplement Of The Year and Protein Powder Of The Year awards for 4 years in a row (2005, 06, 07, and 08). I am not sure yet if this also happened for 2009 as I am lacking behind in some research for several reasons, but even if it would not have won the awards for 2009, if a Whey Protein wins for 4 years in a row you can rest assured that you have picked a great protein powder. Optimum Nutrition, the maker of this protein is known for pushing up the standards in regards to quality and effectiveness and is a market leader accordingly.

I have to say that the proprietary formula of 100 Whey Protein Gold Standard contains Microfiltered Whey Protein Isolates, Ion-Exchange Whey Protein Isolates, Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate, and HydroWhey Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides. The result is a protein with reduced amounts of fat and cholesterol as well as reduced levels of lactose and several other carbs. For me this means whenever I take this protein it will do a great job in helping my muscles to refuel and to get the important ingredients that help to gain more muscle. I am a runner and besided training for running it is important for me to have a strong core as – blieve it or not – long distance runners without a strong core will always lack the power that other runners have. Of course I rather run during my workouts and do less indoor stuff like pushing weights or so. But since I have to do those parts as well, it is great to have a reliable “partner” in Optimum 100% Whey Protein” (100 Whey Protein Gold Standard).

My favorite flavor is “Cookies & Cream”, but “French Vanilla Crème” is also pretty good.

If you are like most people, you have probably tried many different exercise equipment products to increase your muscle volume and body strength. You have also probably discovered that most of these items simply don’t work just by itself and that you need to add specific nutrients (Whey protein) to your lifestyle to build up more muscles. This is exactly where the Cardio Cruiser fits in. The Cardio Cruiser works your entire body to the last muscle. As soon as you finish your workout you should have a protein shake ready. I always recommend Whey Protein due to its superior ability to build up muscle fast and to help your body to recover from a good workout. With the Cardio Cruiser you work more muscle groups and the protein will therefore help across your entire body. A frequent combination of this workout + the intake of a good whey protein will show results fast.

You might not know, but the Cardio Cruiser combines the recumbent bike, elliptical machine, and stair mill into one single exercise equipment. The Cardio Cruiser is more effective than any of those other machines mentioned above. With a customizable workout that can be completed at any time, you’ll see results fast. When you make the decision to purchase the cardio cruiser, you are making a decision to change the way that you look and feel. Not only will you be purchasing the best machine on the market, but you’ll also have help from Cardio Cruiser’s expert team.

With every purchase of the Cardio Cruiser, you’ll receive a great DVD and an easy to ready booklet that will help you get your fitness routine started the right way. Beginning a workout routine on a new machine can be difficult, but these helpful tools will make it all a lot easier. The result will be faster fat burning and you’ll pretty much replace fat with good looking muscles. This is the true power of Whey Protein when combined with physical exercise.

Whey protein is one of the richest known sources of naturally occurring branched-chain amino acids - leucine, isoleucine and valine. Compared to many other proteins, on a gram-to-gram basis, whey protein delivers more essential amino acids to the body and is absorbed quickly and efficiently. Whey Protein is a very useful and key component in weight management programs . Protein has long been known to provide a higher level of satiety versus carbohydrates, and may help dieters feel less hungry between meals. Whey protein is good for the body - no doubt about it - but too much consumption of anything is never beneficial. Too much intake of whey protein can lead to unnecessary complications of your liver.

Whey protein isolate is the purest form of whey protein, which is why it is absorbed so quickly and efficiently into the body. Whey protein is popular because of it is low fat and rich in branched chain amino acids, which may help delay fatigue. Some evidence suggests it may boost immune function and actually increase muscle mass. Whey protein is unquestionably the best overall protein supplement available and should be taken by all serious athletes looking to get the most out of their training.

Weight Loss experts say that for every 3,500 calories you burn above of what you ingest, you'll lose 1 pound of body weight. This is very good news for runners, because running is one of the most efficient ways to burn calories and to get rid of fat. To be more exact - for every mile you run (not walk), you burn approx. 100 calories. It is a little more if you weigh above 150 lbs. and it can be a little more if you increase your speed by about 1 mile per hour. So, instead of taking another diet pill the best way to lose weight is running. It gets even better. By making some adjustments and changes to your running workout you can literally run off those extra pounds - without changing anything in your current diet. Of course this gets a little harder to accomplish if you live of Burger King and other Fast Foods.

The fitter you become, the more calories your body will burn all day long. This leads to bigger calorie deficits and as a result even more weight loss. Call it compound interest (making a referral to the financial world here), runners-style. Imagine yourself being transformed into a lean, mean, calorie-burning running machine.

So, besides running (duh) what are the adjustments you will need to make to accomplish the weight loss described above? To boost your calorie-burn just through running, you will need to increase distance you are running per day or up the intensity of your training. Increasing the distance you run by 5% - 10% per week the weight loss will be huge. Now, let’s talk intensity. Increased speed or increased workout levels can easily boost your calorie burn 50%. If you are running on a treadmill a change of the incline setting is the most efficient way to do this. One degree incline adds about 10% to your calorie burning process.

It is important to note that you should also consider your post-workout meal options to prepare for some additional muscle gain. The first hour after your workout allows your muscles to absorb protein most efficiently and therefore leads to better muscle growth. Whey Protein Light is my preferred protein due to the low calorie configuration with optimum whey ingredients.

As you can see there are some easy ways where running can turn into a calorie burning exercise. Once that calorie burner is turned on there is almost no stopping anymore. But be warned – running is addictive. Once you are hooked ...;
